The mom of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Taylor Frankie Paul is speaking out over the “hypocritical” backlash her family has received after the trailer for the upcoming Hulu reality series aired.   In a TikTok video posted earlier this week, Liann May spoke up about the criticism she’s noticed online and explained why it’s “contradicting” to the beliefs of the Mormon church.  “What really makes me irritated recently, I see all the backlash from them, the comments they receive on social media\u2026 I recently received one that I thought was very interesting and contradicting,” she said in the video. “They stated that we, my family and I, should distance ourselves from being with the church and being Mormon because we’re not Mormon enough.” \u2018MORMON MOMTOK\u2019 INFLUENCER ACCUSED OF DOMESTIC RAMPAGE AGREES TO PLEA: \u2018A LOT OF JUDGING\u2019 “That’s pretty hypocritical\u2026 and stating other things, like these don’t align with the teachings. Well, neither does that. For someone to come to say that I shouldn’t be a member of the church because I’m not Mormon enough or I sin. Let me tell you, a lot of things happen in the church and a lot of sins are committed every single day. Nobody is perfect,” she added. The new Hulu series follows the aftermath of the sex scandal that rocked TikTok and turned a few dancing influencers into moms with major incomes. She was charged with aggravated assault (third-degree felony), two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child (third-degree felony), child abuse (class A misdemeanor) and criminal mischief (class B misdemeanor).
